Margaret (MacDowall Of Garthland) Vans was born in Scotland.
Margaret Macdowall of Garthland was born between 1569 and 1580 in Scotland. She was the daughter of Uchtred Macdowall (1546-1593) and Margaret Stewart of Methvyn (abt.1541-1627). [1] [2] [3]
Marriage
Margaret married John Vans (abt.1574-1642), son of Sir Patrick Vaus, Lord Barnbarroch and Katherine Kennedy, before 1597. Her married name became Vans before 1597. [4] [5] [6]
